TEARS Animal Rescue has teamed up with the Leo Club, a youth organisation sponsored by Lions Clubs International, at their first-ever Dog Show Festival on 15 March 2026 at the Fish Hoek Athletics Club. Join in and see all the fun events, disciplines and classes, and bring your pet to take part! It costs R100 to enter an event, and some of the fun categories include ‘best smile’, ‘shortest legs’ and ‘best dressed’. TEARS Animal Rescue will host an adoption day at the event with the cutest puppies and dogs looking for their forever homes. Don’t forget to come past and give them a cuddle. The Leo Club, which aims to develop leadership skills in teenagers through community service, will donate proceeds from ticket sales to TEARS.
On 21 March 2026, you’ll have another chance to see all the sweetest puppies and dogs up for adoption from TEARS Animal Rescue. Pop into the Kennel Open day between 10 am and 2 pm on Lekkerwater Road, Sunnydale and find your next little best friend. On 23 March, it’s National Puppy Day, which makes March the perfect month for adoptions.
